Our Story

The Story of Our Icon: Mr Muradul Islam

Mr. Muradul Islam, a true oud devotee, began his remarkable journey in 1991 in Abu Dhabi. Immersed in the expertise of Agarwood industry veterans, he developed a profound passion for oud, which soon blossomed into a thriving business. Over the years, he has become a celebrated entrepreneur in Dubai, known for sourcing the rarest and most natural ingredients. Personally selecting every component, he ensures a deep and personal connection with each fragrance. As a trailblazer in the oud trading industry, Mr. Murad's influence spans the entire Gulf region, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman. His reputation for exclusivity is cemented by his role as the trusted oud and perfume supplier to the UAE’s Royal Family, offering them bespoke, limited-edition creations with batches as rare as 10 to 20 bottles. Muradul Islam's dedication to authenticity and excellence has earned him widespread respect. His pursuit of the finest oud and essential oils has taken him around the world, sourcing rare aromatic treasures believed to date back centuries. This relentless commitment is reflected in his quest to craft fragrances that embody unparalleled luxury and refinement. In April 2005, Murad opened his first perfume showroom in Abu Dhabi, a milestone that marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial success. By 2012, he expanded to Dubai, continuing his Agarwood wholesale business. In 2016, he launched the Reeh Al Madinah perfume showroom, followed by the establishment of a second location in Dubai’s New Gold Souk Market in 2022. Supported by factories in Dubai and Bangladesh, Murad oversees a global trade network extending to Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and China. In 2024, Mr. Murad embarked on an exciting new chapter by expanding into the United Kingdom and Europe through a collaboration with Mr. Farid Chowdhury. Rooted in Dubai, Reeh Al Madinah introduced its authentic Arabian perfume legacy to a European audience, beginning with London.
